African Championship

At the first African volleyball championship , the Tunisian women only had to admit defeat to hosts Egypt . In 1985 they took revenge in their own country. Two years later they defended their title against Morocco . After two weaker tournaments (fifth and sixth) they finished third in 1995. In 1997 they were absent for the first time, but in 1999 they won the continental title for the third time, this time against Cameroon . The title defense failed because they missed the next tournament. In the title fights from 2003 to 2007, they rose from fifth to third place.

World cup
