The Lago Tonolli is a round and seasonal zugefrorener lake at the Scott Coast of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It is located 30 km northeast of Mount Gerlache .
Giuseppe Orombelli discovered him on an Italian Antarctic expedition that ran from 1986 to 1987. Vittorio Liberia measured it in 1988 and made the designation. It is named after the Italian limnologist Vittorio Tonolli (1913–1967), director of the Italian State Institute for Hydrobiology in Pallanza on Lake Maggiore (today Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche ) from 1950 to 1967.
