Cape Lagrelius ( English Lagrelius Point ) is a low and ice-free headland on the northwest side of the West Antarctic James Ross Island . It is located 2.5 km south of Carlson Island and protrudes into the Prince Gustav Canal .
Participants in the Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1901–1903) headed by Otto Nordenskjöld discovered and measured them. Nordenskjöld named the cape after the Swedish entrepreneur Axel Lagrelius (1863-1944), a sponsor of this research trip . The headland got its English name after a survey by the Falklands Islands Dependencies Survey in 1952.
