The Lai dalla Stria (from the Rhaeto-Romanic lai for 'lake' and Stria for 'witch') is a mountain lake in the Val Milà south of the Chrüzlistock ( 2707.4 m ) in the municipality of Tujetsch in the canton of Graubünden in the Swiss Alps . It lies at 2,474 m and is about 120 meters long and 80 meters wide.
Around 250 meters north of Lai da Stria is a group of mountain lakes, the Lais Selvadis.
Access
From Rueras
- Starting point: Rueras ( 1414 m )
- Route: Through the Val Milà along the hiking trail towards Mittelplatten to Plaun Grond and then to the east up to the lake.
- Difficulty: EB until Plaun Grond as trail white-red-white highlighted
- Time required: 3½ hours
From Etzlihütte
- Starting point: Etzlihütte ( 2051 m )
- Route: Via Mittelplatten ( 2484 m ) to Plaun Grond and then east to the lake
- Difficulty: EB until Plaun Grond as trail white-red-white highlighted
- Time required: 2¼ hours
