The Chrüzlistock is a mountain north of Rueras on the border between the cantons of Graubünden and Uri in Switzerland with a height of 2,707.4  m above sea level. M. The mountain consists of a double peak with the south peak with 2717  m above sea level. M. is higher than the main summit. The Gotthard base tunnel of the Gotthard axis of the NEAT runs exactly below the summit .

Location and surroundings

The Chrüzlistock belongs to the Piz Giuv chain, a subgroup of the Glarus Alps . It lies north of the Surselva , east of the Reuss valley and south of the Maderan valley . The municipal boundary between the Grisons municipality of Tujetsch and the Uri municipality of Silenen runs across the summit . The Chrüzlistock is bordered by the Val Strem in the east, the Val Milà in the southwest and the Chrüzlital in the north.

The summit lies in the chain that leads from the Piz Giuv and Piz Nair to the north-east over the Chrüzli Pass to the Oberalpstock . To the south, three shorter cross ridges branch off, which separate four valleys (from east to west: Val Strem, Val Milà, Val Giuv and Val Val).

The neighboring peaks include the Witenalpstock ( 3015  m ), the Oberalpstock ( 3328  m ), the Piz Ault ( 3027  m ), the Piz da Strem ( 2836  m ), the Caschlè ( 2546  m ), the Piz Nair ( 3058  m ) and the Mutsch ( 2790  m ).

The valley locations are Rueras ( 1414  m ) and Bristen . A frequent starting point is the 2052  m above sea level. M. lying Etzlihütte SAC , in the Etzlital of the same name.
