The Val Strem is a valley in the Swiss canton of Graubünden north of Sedrun .

It runs in a north-south direction and connects the Maderaner valley in the canton of Uri with Sedrun with a mule track over the Chrüzli pass. The valley is known for its rich mineral deposits and is interesting for geologists with its many cracks and crevices.

The valley exit area has been permanently monitored with an automatic system since 2000. On March 14, 2016, a rock fall of around 200,000 cubic meters spilled the drinking water supply and the small Val Strem power station. The path through the valley has since been closed (updated in summer 2019), as an even greater disruption is feared. Access to the upper valley to Bauns and the Chrüzli pass is only possible by circumventing the area extensively via Alp Caschlè; The Val Milà in the west is ideal as access to the Etzlihütte .
