The Laine Hills are a group of four mostly snowy hills in Palmerland on the Antarctic Peninsula . They rise 26 km northwest of the Welch Mountains on the Dyer Plateau .
The United States Geological Survey mapped them in 1974. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named them in 1976 after Daren Lester Laine (* 1951), a biologist for the United States Antarctic Research Program at Palmer Station in 1975.
