The Lake Discovery is a 5 km long lake on the Scott Coast of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It is located at the northern end of Hurricane Ridge or the western edge of the Discovery Glacier .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1999 based on the name of Mount Discovery . Its namesake is the RRS Discovery , research ship of the British Discovery Expedition (1901–1904).
