Nieciecza is a place with 723 inhabitants in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship and belongs to the urban-and-rural municipality Żabno in the Powiat Tarnowski ( Tarnów district ).

location

Nieciecza is located on the eastern bank of the Dunajec two kilometers northwest of the city of Żabno and twenty kilometers northwest of the district town of Tarnów . The Droga wojewódzka 973 from Tarnów to Busko-Zdrój leads through the place.

history

In 1922 the local football club was founded as one of the first football clubs in Lesser Poland. During the Second World War , the place, like all of Poland, was occupied by the Germans . Then Nieciecza came to the Kraków Voivodeship , from 1975 to the Tarnów Voivodeship . Today the place forms a district with a Sołectwo ( Schulzenamt ) of the city of Żabno in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship formed in 1999.

Sports

Nieciecza is known nationwide through the football club Bruk-Bet Termalica Nieciecza , which plays in the 1st division , the second highest Polish division, and competed in the Ekstraklasa from 2015 to 2018 . The association is financially supported by the Nieciecza-born building contractor Krzysztof Witkowski. Since 2015, the club has been able to play its games in the Bruk-Bet stadium in Nieciecza, which has expanded to 4,600 seats .

education

There is a village school in Nieciecza that had to be closed due to financial problems. However, thanks to a donation from the football club's sponsors, a new village school could be built.

economy

Nieciecza is located in a rural region. In the north of the village there is a factory of the construction company Bruk-Bet , which supports the football club.
