The Lake Thomas is a by meltwater -fed lake in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Olympus Range, it is bordered on its northwest and northeast sides by Robertson Ridge and Clark Glacier .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1976 after the glaciologist Robert H. Thomas, who was involved in two successive summer campaigns between 1973 and 1975 as part of the United States Antarctic Research Program in investigations of the Ross Ice Shelf .
