The Lake Wilson is an icy lake at the Hillary Coast of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It is located 8 km northeast of Diamond Hill, immediately north of the mouth of the Darwin Glacier in the Ross Ice Shelf .
Scientists in a campaign run by New Zealand's Victoria University's Antarctic Expeditions from 1962 to 1963 named it after Alexander Thomas Wilson (* 1930) of the Victoria University of Wellington , who explored the Antarctic dry valleys west of McMurdo Sound .
