The Lakefront Arena (also Senator Nat G. Kiefer University of New Orleans Lakefront Arena or UNO Lakefront Arena ) is a multi-purpose arena with seating for 11,000 in New Orleans , Louisiana .

The arena is the home ground of the University of New Orleans Privateers basketball team . The hall was built in 1983 as a tribute to Nat G. Kiefer and is part of the University of New Orleans complex . The arena is also used for swimming competitions , diving competitions, volleyball and concerts ; internationally known artists such as Eric Clapton , Prince , REM , Red Hot Chili Peppers and Tom Petty performed here .
From 1984 to 1987 one was in the hall women's tennis tournament of the WTA discharged.
