Giausar ( Bayer name Lambda Draconis, λ Dra for short ) is a star in the constellation Dragon . Giausar is a red giant of the spectral class M0 and has an apparent magnitude of 3.8 mag. The distance is just over 300 light years . Further historical proper names are: Gianfar , Juza, Giauzar (Persian "dragon" as the designation of the nodes of the moon's orbit, the so-called dragon points ).
