Lambert Deep
Coordinates: 68 ° 30 ′ S , 70 ° 31 ′ E
The Lambert Deep is a narrow and over 1000 m below sea level lying deep sea of the cooperation lake off the Lars-Christensen coast of the east Antarctic Mac-Robertson-Land . It is 88 km south of Fram Bank in Prydz Bay and extends below the western section of the Amery Ice Shelf .
The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named it after the name of the Lambert Glacier , the largest glacier on earth, located further south .
