A deep sea is a (very) deep part of the ocean . The measurement of these is called bathymetry . In contrast to the mostly very elongated deep- sea ​​channel (deep-sea trench), a sea depression is only a very small area of ​​the lake, which is partly located in such a channel or in a deep-sea basin and can be viewed as the opposite of a very high mountain .
