Sigrid Valdis

Sigrid Valdis (* 21st September 1935 as Patricia Annette Olson in Bakersfield , California ; † 14. October 2007 in Anaheim , ibid.) Was a American actress .

Life

Sigrid Valdis grew up in Westwood near Los Angeles and was modeling for department stores like Bullock's and others as a teenager. After graduating from Marymount High School, she moved to Europe and then to New York , where she continued her modeling career and studied acting with Stella Adler .

Her first marriage was to the businessman George Gilbert Ateyeh († 1967). Their older daughter Melissa is from this marriage.

Sigrid Valdis gained fame primarily through the role of Hilda in the television series A Cage Full of Heroes . There she also met Bob Crane , who played the lead role of Colonel Robert Hogan in the series. They married on October 16, 1970 on the film set. When their son Robert Scott Crane was born a year later, she retired from acting.

Valdis left the Los Angeles area after Crane's death in 1978. She lived in Seattle from 1980 to 2004, where she and her son appeared on the radio show Shaken, Not Stirred , until she and her children moved back to Westwood.

Sigrid Valdis died of lung cancer on October 14, 2007 in Anaheim, California, at the age of 72 . She left behind her two daughters Melissa and Ana, their son Scotty, and a granddaughter and four grandchildren.
