Lambert Hammer
Lambert Hammer (born February 20, 1763 in Haselünne ; † May 19, 1831 in Münster ) was a Prussian district administrator in the Münster district from 1817 to 1831.
Life
Lambert Hammer entered the royal Münster service as a cadet on July 18, 1779 and was promoted to captain and company commander on June 26, 1801. After his discharge from army service, he was Mayor of St. Mauritz from May 8, 1809 to November 18, 1813 . In 1814 he moved to the municipal administration of the Münster district office. The royal Prussian government of Munster appointed him on August 9, 1816, subject to the approval of the Prussian king as district administrator. On January 16, 1817 he was finally appointed district administrator for the Münster district.
