Until 1903 Lamberti was a municipality in the Münster district of the Prussian province of Westphalia . Today your area belongs to the city of Münster in North Rhine-Westphalia .

The Lamberti community comprised the southern area surrounding the city of Münster. It initially had an area of ​​27.2 km² and after 1875 an area of ​​24.4 km². Today, the Münster districts Aaseestadt , Berg Fidel , Geistviertel , Gremmendorf , Mecklenbeck , Pluggendorf and Südviertel are located in the former municipality area .

The community Lamberti emerged from the parish Lamberti , to which the three farmers spirit, Delstrup and Mecklenbeck belonged. The eponymous parish church of St. Lamberti was not on the territory of the municipality, but has always been in the city of Münster.

After the Napoleonic era , the area of ​​the municipality of Lamberti initially belonged to the Mauritz mayor in the Münster district, founded in 1816. With the introduction of the Westphalian rural community order in 1843, the Mauritz mayor's office became the Mauritz office .

Since the middle of the 19th century, the urban development of Münster expanded increasingly to the municipality of Lamberti. In 1875, the urbanized north of Lamberti was incorporated into the city of Münster, and in 1903 the rest of the community was also incorporated.
