Land of Providence ( German Land of Providence ) is a 25 acres (10.1 hectares ) large nature reserve near Holyoke in the state of Massachusetts of the United States , which by the organization The Trustees of Reservations is managed.
Protected area
The land on which the current sanctuary is located was donated to the Trustees in 2009 by the Sisters of Providence of Holyoke , who have been associated with the city since it was founded in 1873. It is located just a few minutes' drive from downtown on the Connecticut River and is accessible via Interstate 91 .
The non-profit organization Nuestras Raices ( German our roots ) actively farms in the area . The focus is on the agriculture of Latinos and other immigrants . The protected area is accessible free of charge from April 1st to November 30th and offers visitors a direct impression of the active companies.
