The Landers Peaks are a group of up to 1000 m high mountains in the north of the West Antarctic Alexander I Island . They rise 6 km east of Mount Braun between the Palestrina Glacier and the Nichols Snowfield .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named them after Commander Robert J. Landers of the United States Navy , pilot of an LC-130 Hercules of the VXE-6 flight squadron in Operation Deep Freeze in 1965 and 1966.
