Landesmusikjugend Rhineland-Palatinate

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Landesmusikjugend Rheinland-Pfalz is the union of all youth groups of the district music associations in the Landesmusikverband Rheinland-Pfalz eV (LMV) and was founded on the initiative of Willibald Groß († 2008), who later also launched the Deutsche Bläserjugend . It acts independently in the context of musical and extra-musical youth work in the State Music Association of Rhineland-Palatinate . The office is currently located in the Trier-Saarburg District Music Association , in Schweich-Issel .

tasks

The Landesmusikjugend sees itself not only as trainers and further trainers in musical youth work , but is also very much involved in non-musical youth work. In the musical youth work, the framework conditions and content for young musicians achievement badges (D courses) are determined. But the musical promotion of children with less education is also actively addressed through offers such as B. the sound tent.
In the extra-musical youth work, the Landesmusikjugend dedicates itself to both music youth-specific and general questions of youth work. In regular youth leader training courses and conferences, the youth leaders at district and club level are given well-founded knowledge, but experiences are also exchanged. The Landesmusikjugend has also set itself the goal of representing the interests of young people both vis-à-vis the regional music association and the numerous political bodies.

structure

In contrast to many other youth associations, the Landesmusikjugend operates largely on a voluntary basis and therefore only employs one full-time youth education officer. This was Roland Unger from 2004–2013; Erik Meisberger has been filling the position since April 1, 2014. The board is elected every 4 years by the representatives of the district associations and is composed of the regional youth leader, deputy regional youth leader, regional youth music director for brass music, regional youth music director for minstrels, and one assessor each for the regions of Koblenz, Trier and Rheinhessen. In addition, there is the youth education officer and a representative from the fund. The Landesmusikjugend is a member of the German Bläserjugend and the Landesjugendring Rheinland-Pfalz .

Workshop

The workshop takes place annually on the second weekend after carnival in a youth hostel in Rhineland-Palatinate. The host is the local music youth, which is entrusted with the organization of the working conference in cooperation with the board of the regional music youth. The topics of the workshops mostly arose independently in the previous year from suggestions from the district associations and clubs and range from rehearsal pedagogy to dealing with new media and social networks to cooking for large groups.
