The Landgasthof Langwied is located in the center of the Munich district of Langwied at Waidachanger 9 at a point where this street curves to the east. The inn was built in 1900 on land that had remained undeveloped until then. In 1984/85 it was renovated and the upper floor, which until then had contained a dance hall , was converted for use as a hotel .

The building has an L-shaped floor plan. The two-story main building extends along the street in an east-west direction. It is about 30 m long and 15 m wide and has a crooked roof . At its western end, to the north, there is also a two-storey wing, about 12 m long and 9 m wide.

The south facade on the street has seven window axes, arched windows on the ground floor and double windows on the upper floor. A two-flight flight of stairs leads up to the likewise arched entrance door in the central axis .
