Landscape Online is a peer-reviewed open access journal affiliated with the International Association for Landscape Ecology (IALE). The publisher is the IALE Region Germany (IALE-D).
The publishing platform is based on Open Journal Systems (OJS). The long-term archiving of all articles is carried out by the German National Library .
Landscape Online was founded in 2007 in order to offer young scientists in particular a freely accessible and online scientific electronic journal in the field of landscape ecology as a publication platform . Landscape Online is now registered in various international journal databases , including the Directory of Open Access Journals - DOAJ and the Scopus (database) . Landscape Online continues to pursue the approach of promoting young academics, e.g. B. in the context of initial publications or with the possibility of "tandem reviews", which enables you to get to know the expert perspective.
The journal is committed to the Berlin Declaration on Open Access to Scientific Knowledge and all articles are published under the Creative Commons license (CC BY 3.0 or 4.0).
