The landscape protection area Thülener Bruch / Schwarzes Haupt / Rösenbeck with 399  hectares is located west of Rösenbeck in the urban area of Brilon . The area was the 2002 district council of Hochsauerlandkreises with the landscape plan Hoppecketal as a conservation area designated (LSG). The LSG borders on the residential area of ​​Rösenbeck. The Brilon-Thülen airfield is enclosed by the LSG except on the west side. The nature reserve Schwarzes Haupt and the nature reserve Hollenloch are in the LSG, plus five protected landscape components . Almost only nature reserves border to the south.

The landscape protection area open spaces Thülener Bruch / Schwarzes Haupt / Rösenbeck was designated as one of 22 landscape protection areas of type B, outskirts, landscape character in the urban area of ​​Brilon. In the urban area there are also four type A landscape protection areas (general landscape protection) and 53 type C landscape protection areas (meadow valleys and significant extensive grassland) with different requirements.

Protection purpose

The designation was carried out to ensure the diversity and uniqueness of the landscape in the vicinity of the localities and the old agricultural priority areas by keeping it open.
