Landscape parts in the Waldenburg area is a landscape protection area in the Hohenlohe district in Baden-Württemberg.

Location and description

The approximately 825 hectare landscape protection area consists of three sub-areas and is located north, south and east of the city of Waldenburg. In the east it stretches to the Beltersrot district of Kupferzell . It was created by ordinance of the Hohenlohekreis district office of October 16, 1992. At the same time, the ordinance of the former Öhringen district office of December 10, 1969 for the protection of parts of the landscape in the Waldenburg area became invalid .

The protected area belongs to the natural areas 108- Swabian-Franconian forest mountains and 127- Hohenloher-Haller-level within the natural spatial main units 10- Swabian Keuper-Lias-Land and 12- Neckar- and Tauber-Gäuplatten .

Protection purpose

According to the Protected Area Ordinance, the main protection purpose is the preservation and safeguarding of extensive parts of the plateau around Waldenburg and Goldbach, the Keuperstufe of the Waldenburg Mountains with their slope foot area and apron with their typical landscape parts and vegetation as well as the preservation of ecologically extremely valuable interlocking between forests and stream-flowed meadow valleys and reservoirs, between Forest edges, hillside and orchard meadows, springs, blades, brooks, hedges, woods and rains up to the intensely used Hohenlohe plain.

The purpose of protection is also to secure diverse and impressive landscapes, which are based on the mosaic of various landscape parts, diverse landscape elements and their use in the area of ​​the plateau and the slopes of the Keuperschichte, sustainably underlined by the relief strength of the area and the preservation and protection of a valuable and well-known Hiking area for quiet relaxation, for nature experience and observation.
