The Caleta del Vanguardia ( Spanish ) is a small bay on the northwest coast of the Trinity Peninsula at the tip of the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located between the Punta Salas headland and Cape Roquemaurel .
Uruguayan scientists named it in 1996 after their expedition ship Vanguardia .
