The Landsort class is a series of a total of seven vehicles that were built between 1983 and 1992 for the Swedish Navy .

They are named after well-known Swedish beacons . They are designed for submarine hunting , mine sweeping and mine clearing . The Landsort class is built in layers: The hull consists of a 6 cm thick PVC core , which is enclosed on both sides by a layer of glass fiber reinforced plastic .

The ships of this class are armed with a 40 mm Bofors multi-purpose gun , 4 × 9 anti-submarine shells and two 12.7 mm sMGs. In addition, sea ​​mines and depth charges can be taken on board and used.
