State election in the People's State of Hesse in 1932
The state election in the People's State of Hesse in 1932 was the sixth and last election in the People's State of Hesse to the State Parliament of the People's State of Hesse . It had become necessary because the state election in the People's State of Hesse in 1931 had been declared invalid and took place on June 19, 1932. The NSDAP was able to expand its position again.
initial situation
The economic party had not been admitted to the 1931 state election. The reason was the non-recognition of 44 support votes. The business party criticized this approach during the election test . On May 9, 1932, the State Court declared the state elections of November 15, 1931 invalid and ordered a new election within two months. Accordingly, the next state election in the People's State of Hesse took place on June 19, 1932. For the general political situation, see the article on the Reichstag election in July 1932 .
The landslide victory of the NSDAP and the success of the KPD led to the fact that the democratic parties together no longer had a majority in parliament. Since cooperation between the extremist parties was unthinkable and there was also no cooperation between the extremist parties and democratic parties, a new government could not be elected and the Adelung cabinet remained in office.
