State election in Lippe 1925
The state election in Lippe on January 18, 1925 was the election for the 3rd state parliament in Free State of Lippe , a small state of the Weimar Republic . The SPD Lippe emerged from the election as again the strongest force with slight gains.
prehistory
In the state elections in Lippe in 1921 , the SPD lost its absolute majority. It formed a coalition with the DDP and the DVP . Heinrich Drake continued to head the state government .

The right to vote provided for a state parliament with 21 members, who were to be elected in free, equal, direct and secret ballot using proportional representation. Minimum age was 20 years.
In the Reichstag election in December 1924 , the SPD again suffered significant losses, while the KPD achieved 7.4% of the vote. In the state elections in 1925, the SPD was able to recover noticeably.
Election result
The turnout was 94.49%, the proportion of invalid votes 1.88%. The valid votes were distributed as follows:

The DVP had drawn up a joint list with the center under the name "German People's Party and Center Party". The three elected MPs were all members of the DVP.

SPD, DDP and DVP continued their coalition , which formed the state presidium under Heinrich Drake (SPD).
Socio-economic structure of the MPs
The proportion of women in MPs was 6.7%. The vast majority of MPs, namely 19 out of 30, came from the cities, only 36.7% of the MPs came from rural communities. With 9 MPs or 30%, a disproportionately large number of MPs came from Detmold. The distribution according to occupational groups was as follows:
