Langengern is part of the Erdweg community in the Dachau district ( Bavaria ).

geography

The village of Langengern is located about five kilometers northwest of Erdweg. Langengern is located on the old Roman road from Passau to Augsburg.

history

The Roman road separated Upper Bavaria from Swabia for a long time. The houses on the south side of Langengern belonged to the district of Dachau, the north side to the district of Aichach. Today only the municipal boundary (Erdweg / Altomünster ) runs through the settlement.
