Eisenhofen Castle with Marienkapelle

Hof is part of the Erdweg community in the Upper Bavarian district of Dachau and has 168 inhabitants (as of August 1, 2012).

geography

Hof is located about one kilometer northeast of Eisenhofen , about six kilometers west of Indersdorf , about twelve kilometers northwest of Dachau and about seven kilometers north of the A8 motorway (junction Odelzhausen and Sulzemoos ). Hof is located on the district road DAH 17 . The Hofer Graben rises to the west of Hof and flows into the Glonn south of Hörgenbach . Eisenhofen, Neusreuth , Hirtlbach and Hörgenbach are neighboring towns.

Eisenhofen Castle

The Castle Eisenhofen was from the 11th century seat of the Eisenhofer. The Eisenhofer family also named themselves after the Eisenhofen Castle in Hof ( Wiguleus Hund , 1585). Today the castle is privately owned.

Lady Chapel

The chapel was built in the 19th century and is now owned by the Erdweg community. A figure of the Mother of God and figures of St. Francis Xavier and St. Leonhard are part of the inventory , along with pictures of the Way of the Cross with Spanish headings. The Lady Chapel was restored in 1976 and 2000/01.
