Hörgenbach is part of the Markt Indersdorf market in the Upper Bavarian district of Dachau .

geography

The hamlet is located on the southwestern edge of the municipality, about 4.5 kilometers southwest of Indersdorf and 300 m north of the Glonn , which is fed here by the Hofer Graben .

history

The first reliable mention of Hörgenbach dates from 1334. At that time, the family of the knight Eberhardt von Eisenhofen zu Hof provided their "hoff daz Hörgenbach, which the Aubinger da pawt" (= manages), the Indersdorf Abbey as security. In the period that followed, all three farms were owned by the monastery. From 1466 to 1783 the hamlet was owned by the Indersdorf Abbey. The fourth small property (house number 32), originally an empty house, was not built until 1725 on the basis of the parish church of St. Valentin zu Hirtlbach.

Municipal reform

Until the reorganization of the Bavarian communities, Hörgenbach belonged to the independent town of Hirtlbach . On July 1, 1972, Hirtlbach with its districts Hörgenbach and Neusreuth was assigned to the municipality of Markt Indersdorf.

Parish affiliation

Hörgenbach used to belong to the parish of Hirtlbach (first mentioned in 1315), together with Eisenhofen, Hof, Hörgenbach and Riedhof.
