from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Neuried is a district of the Markt Indersdorf market , which is located about 48 kilometers northwest of Munich in the Upper Bavarian district of Dachau .

history

Neuried ( Neuenried = "new clearing") was mentioned in a document around 1300. Engelhart von Weichs' property belonged to the Scheyern monastery . Remains of a castle can be seen not far from the village. The church care for Catholics took place from Langenpettenbach until 1875 , then from Hilgertshausen . From 1807 there were immigrants from the Upper Palatinate (Weigl, Gottschalk) and a few years later the first Protestants came from Alsace (Schütz, Decker) and Mennonites (Hirschler, Decker) from the Rhine Palatinate . Until the reorganization of the Bavarian municipalities, Neuried was part of the municipality of Ainhofen . On January 1, 1972, it was assigned to the Markt Indersdorf market.

Village festival

Once a year, a village festival took place at the Mair carpenter's workshop, to which all current and former residents of Neuried were invited.
