Arnzell is a district of the Markt Indersdorf market in the Upper Bavarian district of Dachau . The church village is about four kilometers northwest of Indersdorf and can be reached via the district road DAH 4 .

history

According to tradition, there was a little church in Arnzell (= Arno's cell) as early as the 9th century. It is certain that a (new) church was built in 1220 at the request of the lord of the castle of (Langen-) Pettenbach. At that time it belonged to the parish of Glonn . In 1271, the Freising Bishop von Reichensdorf donated this parish with the branches Langenpettenbach and Arnzell to the Indersdorf monastery . The place itself was first mentioned in 1364 as "Aernzell".
