Sinkhole

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Senkenschlag is a district of Markt Indersdorf , which is about 47 kilometers northwest of Munich in the Upper Bavarian district of Dachau .

history

The forest areas of "Schenkenschlag" (clearing of the Schenk) belonged to the Indersdorf Monastery until the abbey was dissolved in 1783 . Then the wood was felled. In 1806 Lukas Landmann from Ainhofen bought a large piece of land, built simple houses on it and sold them to settlers. In order to make the land usable, the deforested areas were burned, which gave the settlement the name "grass fire". How difficult this life was can be seen in the following frequent changes of ownership.
