Hirtlbach is part of the Markt Indersdorf market in the Upper Bavarian district of Dachau .
The village is about 3.5 kilometers northwest of Indersdorf on the district road DAH 17 .
history
Around 1150 the place was first mentioned in a document as "Hurtelbach" (= brook with wickerwork made of willow or brushwood). In 1423 some properties were donated to the Indersdorf Abbey . From 1506 to 1803 Hirtlbach belonged to the Hofmark Eisenhofen -Hirtlbach.
On the Bibereckerberg there are small remains of Hirtlbach Castle and burial mounds from the time of the Celtic Vindeliker (approx. 150 BC)
Municipal reform
Until the reorganization of the Bavarian communities, Hirtlbach was administratively an independent place. On July 1, 1972, Hirtlbach, with its districts of Hörgenbach and Neusreuth, was assigned to the Markt Indersdorf market.
On January 16, 2007 Hörgenbach had 24 inhabitants.

The parish of Hirtlbach was first mentioned in 1315. At that time Eisenhofen, Hof, Hörgenbach and Riedhof belonged to it.
