Glonn is a district of the Markt Indersdorf market , which is about 35 kilometers northwest of Munich in the Upper Bavarian district of Dachau .

history

Glonn can look back on over 1200 years of history. Glonn is mentioned in a document on March 30, 774 as a clanae , an onolf donated his property to the cathedral in Freising . The following should be written on the certificate: "Clanae secus fluenta ipsius fluminis", which translates as "Village of the Glonnan residents". Along with Langenpettenbach, Glonn is one of the oldest mentioned settlements in Altbayern.

Other names of the place Glonn in the 13th century were also Glandorff, Glanardorf and Glanerdorf. Glonn had its own village court at least before 1378. In 1439, the Augustinian Canons of Indersdorf, headed by Provost Erhard Prunner, bought the Hofmark along with bailiwick, tithe and all rights for 680 Rhenish guilders from Paul the Weichser zu Weichs and his wife Elspet.

Around 1750 Glonn had 33 properties. With the exception of the landlord, who was owned by the cathedral capital Freising and a 1/16 yard belonging to the collegiate monastery of St. Andrä on the Freising cathedral hill, the monastery of Indersdorf owned the entire property with all properties. These were: 2 whole farms (Burkard, Droschl), 6 half farms (Ehaftsmühle, Gries, Heigl, Hansbauer, Schreder, Haubenbauer), 1/4 farm (Brotmiester), 10 each 1/8 farms (Droschlgütel = Widumgut, Schredergütl, Haubengütl, Ziegler, carpenter, Fischer, Bäckl, Baumeister, Bechler, Wendl) and 12 yards each 1/6, the hut was the property of the village community.

Municipal reform

Until it was incorporated into Markt Markt Indersdorf on January 1, 1972, Glonn and the Wildmoos district were an independent municipality. Close business, friendly and cultural contacts have always been maintained with the residents of the market town due to the proximity.

St. Emmeran

history

A small church is said to have already existed when Glonn was founded. Up to 1220 Glonn was its own parish with the St. Michael branch church in Langenpettenbach. Today the listed Catholic branch church St. Emmeran is the oldest church in the entire Glonn valley . It belongs to the parish of the Assumption of Mary, Monastery of Indersdorf.

Building description

The vaulted choir of St. Emmeran is made of medieval masonry. Examinations of the findings in the course of the renovation brought to light late medieval frescoes. The lower parts of the tower are late Gothic. The high altar was built in 1741 by the sexton Rochus Emaus and the Friedberg court sculptor Johann Martin Sailler. In 1745 the side altars were made by an artist from India. The office dates from 1777. The overall impression of the baroque building, the stucco is to be assigned to the early 18th century, was extended to the west in 1884. With the exception of a late medieval pieta made of sandstone around 1430, most of the furnishings can be attributed to the Baroque period. In addition to numerous sculptures, the church has seven original reliefs of the Emmeran legend from the 18th century.
