history

Catholic Parish Church of St. Michael

The oldest document on Langenpettenbach dates from August 12th, 772. In it, the place was mentioned as " Petinpach " with a Michaels church.

An Alpune, the last of a family of peasant farmers, donated all of their belongings to Freising Cathedral . In 1115 the property in Freising in Pettenbach passed to Duke Arnulf . In 1271 a Gottfried gave his goods to the Indersdorf monastery , which remained there until the secularization in 1806. After 1500 Pettenbach belonged almost entirely to the Indersdorf monastery. In contrast to the surrounding towns, Langenpettenbach was not affected during the Thirty Years' War . With the abolition of the monastery in 1784, the management of the monastery property was transferred to the Dachau Regional Court .

The coat of arms of Gottfried was run as a community seal since 1925, a white bread awakening in the red box.

Air communication

In 1943, an aerial observation point for the night hunting control center "Aal" Harreszell was built between Langenpettenbach and Wagenried . The II./Luftnachrichten-Regiment 227 was stationed there. After the Second World War , the barracks belonging to it served refugees from the east as accommodation as in 1956 after the Hungarian uprising .

Municipal reform

Until the Bavarian municipal reform, Langenpettenbach was an independent municipality with the hamlets and farms: Ainried , Eichstock , Harreszell , Kattalaich , Lochhausen , Senkenschlag , Stangenried and Wengenhausen . On January 1, 1972, Langenpettenbach and its districts were assigned to the Markt Indersdorf market.

Events

The hangover night and outback party are organized annually by the local girls and boys association. Langenpettenbach is the venue for the Bavarian ox race championship.
