Occurrence and habitat

Females from the collection of the Zoological State Collection in Munich

The long-feeling club insect is a very warmth-loving species. Like other species of this genus, it prefers loose sandy soils. The area covers the east of Europe. The westernmost occurrences are to be found in Hungary and Lower Austria , where the long-sensory club terrier prefers almost vegetation-free sand dunes. Adults occur from July to October.
