Lapko is a Finnish alternative rock band from Harjavalta , formed in 1996. What is particularly striking about the band's songs is the partly feminine , melancholy vocals of Ville Maljas.

Career

The band's first EP, Your Special KO , was released in 2003 without the involvement of a record company. In 2004 Lapko's debut album The Arms was released on the label Jukeboss , after which they switched to Fullsteam Records , under which they released other albums such as Scandal (2006) and Young Desire (2007). Since then, Lapko has become very well known in Finland.

In the past few years, Lapko has often played outside of Finland and given concerts in cooperation with the band Disco Ensemble .
