Lara (born February 14, 1980 in Hopfgarten , Tyrol , real name: Bianca Fuchs ) is an Austrian singer and presenter in the field of hits and folk music .

Life

Bianca Fuchs grew up in Tyrol, where her parents ran a hotel. As a child, she sang to hotel guests from time to time. She completed classical vocal training and took dance and acting lessons.

In 1994 Lara took part in the Grand Prix of Folk Music for Austria under her real name Bianca Fuchs . With her title The Colorful Dreams of Childhood she reached 7th place. This started a solo career as a singer for Lara under her real name. In 1997 she formed the duo "Bianca & Ray" with the pop singer Ray Watts . The two had some success in the field of folk music until 2001.

Since 2002 she has been working as a solo artist again. She was signed by producers Oliver Statz and Joachim Horn-Bernges . Under the stage name “Lara”, the first single Du bist Schön was published, followed by several albums.

Lara has hosted the weekly program Folx Live since 2013 and the Folx Stadl on Folx TV since 2017 .
