Lara Boschkor

Lara Boschkor (born October 1, 1999 in Tübingen ) is a German violinist .

Life

Lara Boschkor began playing the violin at the age of four and a half. She received an early training at the young student institutes of the Cologne and Detmold music academies and then studied with Kolja Blacher in Berlin and Erik Schumann in Frankfurt. Since 2015 she has been a young soloist in the precollege of the Kronberg Academy .

To their competitive achievements include first prizes at the 12th Carl Flesch International Violin Competition in 2013 in Hungary, at the 7th Henryk Szeryng Violin Competition in 2013 in Mexico and at the 7th Johansen International Competition in 2015 in Washington DC In July 2017 she won in the large hall of the Hamburg Elbphilharmonie the with First prize endowed with 10,000 euros at the TONALi music competition. She was accompanied at the final concert by the young North German Philharmonic under the direction of Daniel Blendulf .

At the age of eight, Lara Boschkor made her debut as a soloist with an orchestra. Her performances have taken her to the Cologne Philharmonic , Weill Recital Hall, Carnegie Hall , Tonhalle Düsseldorf, Konzerthaus Berlin, Laeizhalle Hamburg and Tonhalle Zurich . She was also a guest at several festivals and performed chamber music a. a. at the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Festival, the Mondsee Music Days and the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival . Boschkor is a scholarship holder of the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben , which provided her with a violin by Carlo Antonio Testore (Milan, 1740) from the German Musical Instrument Fund .
