Lars-Henrik Walther (born April 21, 1968 in Fürstenfeldbruck ) is a former German handball player . He played in the handball Bundesliga for 16 years and played 456 Bundesliga games.

From 1986 to 1989, the Kreisläufer completed an apprenticeship as a banker. After his military service he switched to TSV Munich-Milbertshofen as a professional handball player. He studied business administration at the FH Munich and the FH Lahr (distance learning). In parallel to professional sport, he worked at Volksbank Dormagen in the field of public relations and at intelligence AG in Bielefeld , where he completed training as a SAP consultant (HR). After he ended his career as a professional handball player in 2006, he was team manager of the Bundesliga team from Frisch Auf Göppingen until October 2007 .

Between 2006 and 2013 he worked as an assistant to the management in a Göppingen company and took care of customer service and marketing. Since 2014 he has been working as a product manager at EWS Weigele GmbH & Co. KG in Uhingen.

In January 2008 Walther made his comeback with the Göppingen gymnastics club and participated in the promotion to the upper league.

Together with Pascal Morgant and Ralf Abend, Lars-Henrik Walther founded FRISCH AUF! Handball youth center . In this center, young people from the C-youth up to the second team of Frisch Auf Göppingen receive performance-related support and training. In addition to his work as a department head with the marketing department, Walther also acts as an assistant trainer and temporarily as a player in the second team.

As part of the cooperation of FRISCH AUF! The youth center with the Göppingen gymnastics club, Lars-Henrik Walther took over as coach of the first men's team in the Württembergliga during the 2008/09 winter break. After a guest appearance at TSV Deiszisau (BWOL) in the second half of the 2010/11 season as a player, he became a coach at SG Lauterstein. With his team he managed to get promoted back to the BWOL and became Württemberg champion in 2012.

For the 2017/18 season, Walther took over the coaching position at SG Lauterstein again.

Lars-Henrik Walther is a single father of four daughters.
