Lars Keiling

Lars Keiling (born April 13, 1975 in Wernigerode ) is a German chef .

Career

After training at the Hotel Weißer Hirsch in Wernigerode, Keiling moved to the Landhaus zu den Rothen Forellen with Frank Buchholz in Ilsenburg in 1995 and to the bridge cellar with Alexander Dressel in Frankfurt in 1997 .

In 1999 he went to Rome to join Heinz Beck's La Pergola restaurant (two Michelin stars at the time ). In 2000 he moved to the Hohenhaus in Herleshausen to Achim Schwekendiek (one Michelin star), with whom he went to the Schlosshotel Münchhausen in Aerzen in 2004 . In 2008 he cooked at Der Zauberlehrling in Stuttgart.

Since 2009 he has been head chef and patron of the Keilings in Bad Bentheim , which was awarded one Michelin star in 2011 and two Michelin stars in 2018. In April 2019, he announced that he would close the restaurant at the end of October 2019 and not extend the lease.
