Lars Detlef Kleppich (born August 9, 1967 in Sydney ) is a former Australian windsurfer .

successes

Lars Kleppich, who started for the Dobroyd Sailing Club , took part in the Olympic Games three times . In 1992 he won the bronze medal in Barcelona in the Lechner A-390 boat class behind Franck David and Michael Gebhardt in third place. In his second Olympic participation in Sydney in 2000 , he missed another medal win in the boat class Mistral with 61 points as fourth. In 2004 he finished the windsurfing competitions in Athens in eighth place. At world championships , his greatest success was winning the title in Nouméa in 1999 in the Mistral boat class . It was also his only podium finish at world championships.
