Lars Magnar Enoksen

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Lars Magnar Enoksen (* 1960 in Malmö ) is a Norwegian - Swedish author and Norse glima - Ringer .

Life

Enoksen was born in Malmö in 1960, the son of a Swede and a Norwegian. In the second half of the 1970s he was one of the very first punks in Sweden to wear a mohawk, and in 1979 he founded the expressionist band Kabinett Död .

Comic

For Walt Disney , Enoksen was the only Swedish copywriter and scenario writer for Walt Disney's Comics & Stories in the 1980s , which corresponds to the weekly Norwegian comic magazine Donald Duck & Co or the German Mickey Mouse , and worked on around 600 series pages with, which have been published worldwide since the 1980s.

At the end of the 1980s, Enoksen was involved in the comic drawing training course in Malmö at Kvarnby Folkhögskola , where he worked as a main teacher and course instructor. During the same period, he worked on several adult comic series that were deliberately obscure and bizarre.

In 1988 Enoksen opened a cartoon school for children and young people. In the 1990s, classes followed in Malmö, Dalby , Vellinge and Höganäs , while writing for comic series declined at the same time.

Nordic antiquity

1989 led Enoksen his career as glima - Ringer one. In Norway this corresponds to the wrestler in Broktak . Glima is an old Norse ring sport . While Enoksen was learning Glima on Iceland, he also learned the Icelandic language . He then began to flirt again with his childhood interest in history, Vikings and Teutons. With this newly awakened interest and his language skills, he began to read and study the Viking Age runic scripts , Icelandic sagas and Edda poems in self- study.

In 1995 Enoksen published his first popular pseudoscientific book on runes (publisher: Historiska Media in Lund ) and has been publishing another book there since 1998, mostly in Swedish and English. His amateurish elaborations on medieval Nordic literature, runes and more are not recognized in scientific research.

Projects

Enoksen was the director of a project at the Viking Ship Museum in Roskilde on how the Vikings acquired their war skills. The project culminated in 2007 with a two-month voyage on a Viking ship from Scandinavia to England .
