Lars Roberg

Lars Roberg (born January 4, 1664 in Stockholm , † May 21, 1742 in Uppsala ) was a Swedish medic.

Live and act

He was the son of the royal pharmacist Daniel Roberg.

Lars Roberg studied at Uppsala University from 1675 . During a trip to Germany, France and England in 1680, he studied in Wittenberg and Leiden . He received his doctorate in medicine in 1693 in Leiden.

He was professor of medicine at Uppsala University from 1697 to 1740. Here he officiated as rector in 1709, 1717, 1726 and 1733 . In 1708 he founded the Nosocomium academicum , later the Academic Hospital of Uppsala.

His students were u. a. Carl von Linné and Peter Artedi .
