Lars Weissenfeldt

Lars Weißenfeldt (born February 15, 1980 in Marburg ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

Lars Weißenfeldt grew up in Marburg , Upper Hesse , where he graduated from the Elisabeth School in 1999 . Until 1999 he played for the then top division club VfB Marburg before he moved to Eintracht Frankfurt . There he was mostly only used in the league team. Nevertheless, he had nine second division and one Bundesliga game. In 2004 he went to local rivals Kickers Offenbach after his contract in Frankfurt had expired . With his new club, he made it from the regional league to the second division in 2005 . There he scored the interim 1: 1 in the 2-1 win on the first day of play at Hansa Rostock and thus the OFC's first goal after promotion. It was his only goal of the season. For the 2007/08 season Weißenfeldt moved to the regional league team FSV Frankfurt . There he played his way into the regular formation, made 22 appearances and was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga with the FSV. In the second division season 2008/09 Weissenfeldt played 28 times for the FSV. After he had not accepted a contract offer from Frankfurt for the 2009/10 season, Weißenfeldt left the Bornheimer Hang and temporarily stayed fit at VfB Marburg.

In autumn 2010, the now 30-year-old decided to give up his professional career in favor of a degree and began studying primary school education at the Free University of Berlin in the winter semester of 2010. He also played for the Berlin league club BFC Viktoria 89 until 2011 .
