The Groupe Latécoère is a listed aviation company from Toulouse , France , with offices in Spain , Brazil , the USA , Germany , Tunisia and the Czech Republic . In 2011, Latécoère employed 4,175 people and had an annual turnover of 777.1 million euros.

The company was founded in 1917 by Pierre-Georges Latécoère . Until the end of the Second World War , it mainly produced flying boats . The name Latécoère ( Laté ) is still associated in France with the pioneering days of aviation.

Today Latécoère manufactures fuselage segments and aircraft doors for civil and military aircraft types from the manufacturers Airbus , Boeing , Bombardier , Embraer and Groupe Dassault . The subsidiary Latelec manufactures aircraft wiring harnesses and avionics . Further subsidiaries are CCA , LAtecis and Latécoère Aéroservices . In 2000, part of the Czech aircraft manufacturer Letov was bought .
