Laticifere

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Laticiferen or juice hyphae are milk- sap- bearing hyphae of fungi , they occur in mushrooms whose fruiting bodies secrete juice when injured. B. for the genera Milchlinge and Fistulina is characteristic. In the deaf family they are mostly called lactifera and can pull through the hat, stem or lamellae trama . Sometimes the sap hyphae are indistinguishable from gloeoplera , which, however, show no discernible effluents. In summary, both can be referred to as heterophors .

Plant cells that produce latex or rubber as secondary metabolites are also called laticifers.
